I list reasons as to why I stopped playing them where applicable.
These games are not necessarily bad, I just might not have wanted to fully complete them or was not in the mood for their kind of gameplay and will try them again at another time.
Green = Good but played enough/will play at a later date - Orange = OK, but had an issue or got bored before completing - Red = Bad, did not enjoy at all

Abandoned 2025

  • Avatar The Game (Ubisoft) - Good but not in the mood yet will get the complete edition later and play it with the new 3rd person mode.
  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle - Good but will play later on sale.
  • Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster - Completed original game, need to replay this version.
  • Horizon Forbidden West - Will carry on once I complete the Zero Dawn Remaster version on PC.
  • God of War Ragnarok - Going to restart on PC instead of PS5.
  • Chip N Claws - Finished 90% of it, was mostly for co-op fun.
  • Wario Land 4 - Fun game, but don't really feel like putting in the time to finish it, just wanted to sample it.
  • Kirby Air Riders - Gameplay is fun and unlocking stuff is cool, but it feels like chaos and out of your hands if you win or not, will probably play it on and off casually over the years but not something I want to sit and dedicate time too.
  • Gears of War Reloaded - Good game, don't know why I started a shooter on PS5 specifically, will rebuy/play it on PC instead, especially if more of the franchise is being remastered there.
  • Splinter Cell - Was playing on Gamecube as it's one of the few ways, but the controls and jank was too much to play it properly, will skip and move onto next game in series.
  • Banjo-Kazooie - Fun game, just wanted to remember what it was like and play a few worlds, will play yooka-replaylee when physical is out to get my full fill of collectathons.
  • Spyro Trilogy:  Spyro 1 - Fun game, got pretty far, then got game over and had to repeat a whole area, don't have time for that so moving on, had my fun.
  • Spyro Trilogy: Spyro 2 - Removed from list as I did not complete 1.
  • Spyro Trilogy: Spyro 3 - Removed from list as I did not complete 1 or 2.
  • Pac-Man World Re-Pac - Got a decent way through the game but got bored, was mostly playing before world 2 came out, which is a better game so will swap to that.
  • The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask - The game isn't bad, I just don't enjoy the time pressure and specific time of day events, I instead watched a story recap video and will move on to more traditional Zelda games.
  • Captain America: Super Soldier - The game isn't bad, It's just a product of it's time, very repetitive and quite simple gameplay that get's boring after a while. Also it's a score based collectathon which I did not expect.
  • Super Mario Galaxy - Might have been better on Wii at release, but nowadays the controls and camera annoy me compared to modern 3d platformers, and it makes me motion sick, I unlocked all 5 observatories and then stopped when it wanted me to replay levels for stars.
  • Elden Ring - Just bored of the "souls like" style, open world is cool but it's still just difficulty+bosses.
  • Brothers In Arms: Road to Hill 30 - Just felt too old/outdated gameplay with suppression mechanics etc.
  • Avowed - Skyrim it aint. Bland and boring world, no real interaction, not even a real open world, feels rushed. Nice visuals but there are better "skyrlim-likes" to spend time on.
  • We were here forever - Puzzles just got boring and stupid, especially after playing the previous 3 games.
  • The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind GOTY - I am sure the story is amazing, and in it's time it was a masterpiece, but it's a step TOO far back in time for me. I just could not get on with the combat and how to actually hit targets, felt like I was missing swings point blank 80% of the time and I don't get why. Not for me, will focus on newer elder scrolls.
